Every once in a while you get the opportunity to hear legendary singers teaming up together to offer an audience a night that they won’t forget for a very long time.
Wendy Matthews and Glenn Shorrock are two of those singers. There is just something magic about the way they sound together. Glenn knew this the first time he heard Wendy’s voice.
Let’s rewind back to 1978. At that time, Glenn was on tour in America with Australian hit making trailblazers The Little River Band. When Glenn heard Wendy sing with him for the first time, he instantly offered Wendy a chance to travel to Australia to record and perform on his then solo project “Villain of the Peace”.
Who could have known how this would dramatically change a young Wendy Matthews life forever.
Back to the present and Wendy, now an Australian citizen for more than 20 years is one of our most successful female artists of all time. Glenn is, of course, the iconic singer songwriter who’s record sales have amassed over 25 million.
Between them they have graced Australian radio playlists for decades with hits such as:
Cool Change , Reminiscing, The Day You Went Away, Standing Strong, Help is on it’s way, Little Ray of Sunshine, I Don’t Want To Be With Nobody But You, Fridays Child, Emma, Home on a Monday and many, many more
